This time last year, the North Carolina Tar Heels were preparing for the Final Four, going against the eventual National Champion Kansas Jayhawks. After the disappointing semifinal loss, many of the Tar Heels had an important decision to make. National Player of the Year Tyler Hansborough, Ty Lawson, Danny Green, and Wayne Ellington all would have been first round draft choices in last years NBA Draft if they had come out. The Final Four almost no one had

I’m sure there will be plenty of people in many of your office pools talking about how they had all four of this years Final Four teams in their brackets this year. North Carolina, Michigan State, UConn and Villanova will all be heading to Detroit still with hopes of bringing home the national championship, after some interesting regional finals this weekend.

The game of the weekend was Pitt/Villanova by far. Oklahoma relied solely on Blake Griffin, and simply weren’t even in the same league as UNC. Michigan State caught just about everyone by surprise by knocking off Louisville, and UConn was too much for the press of Missouri. [click to continue…]
