There are a number of trades being rumored around the net right now. Here is the latest as of this morning…
1. Marcus Camby is headed to Portland.
Camby will be sent to the Blazers in a deal that will net the Clippers swingman Travis Outlaw and guard Steve Blake. Not a bad deal for either team, as Camby provides veteran leadership on a playoff contender, while Outlaw and Blake give the Clippers depth at key positions. [click to continue…]

The NBA All Star Voting is well underway, and notably there are some players that will get snubbed, and some players will make it that have no business being there. LayupDrill.com recognizes those who get no love by the mainstream media most of the time, and have found five players that we believe, if all on the same squad, would be a force to reckon with. Check out our five most underrated players in the league.
Point Guard – Jose Calderon(Raptors)
It would be easy to pick Rajon Rondo or Devin Harris in this spot, but both are having outstanding seasons, and getting their due by both the mainstream media outlets, and us here. But Canada’s team has a great floor general as well, and he is quietly averaging 13 points and 9 assists a game. There are spots where we wish Calderon was more consistent on the scoring end, but we will roll with him.
Shooting Guard – Brandon Roy(Blazers)
Is it possible that the only All-Star chosen is underrated? Definitely. Brandon Roy, entering his third season in the league, has improved every year, and it seems every single game. His 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists averages would be enough to be the go-to guy on this team, and give him the spotlight to elevate himself among the league’s elite.
Small Forward -Danny Granger(Pacers)
The Pacers are horrible, but they have two very good players no one pays attention to. At 6′9, Danny Granger is a nightmare for an opposing coach to matchup. He is too tall for most small forwards, and too quick for many power forwards. His much improved offensive game has caught up to his impressive defensive effort, and in only his 3rd season, the best is yet to come.
Power Forward – Paul Millsap(Jazz)
The Jazz big man has filled in for Carlos Boozer very well over the last few weeks. Millsap is the best bargain in the NBA, averaging 15 points and 9 rebounds a game for the season, while only making $800,000. Of course you can expect a starting position either in Utah, or another team, and a pay raise this summer.
Center – Troy Murphy(Pacers)
You can’t coach size, but when you combine that size with talent and a workmanlike style of play, you have a player that will find a roster spot on any team in the league. Pacers big man Troy Murphy fits that description, as the walking double-double has had some very big moments for the Pacers in games vs. the Lakers and Celtics, and had a season best 20 points and 20 rebounds against the Raptors a few weeks back.
