ESPN just broke the story that Trevor Ariza is headed to the Houston Rockets. The former Lakers forward was replaced by former Rockets forward Ron Artest, who said he will be joining up with the Lakers next season. More on this as it develops.

Things can change a lot in 24 hours. Ron Artest told CBSSports.com that he will be signing with the Lakers, thus taking the place likely of Trevor Ariza. Artest stated that money was not an issue, but that he wants to be in L.A, and they wanted him. That move can drastically change the landscape of where Ariza, as well as Hedo Turkoglu will sign. Cleveland is likely to go full force and landing Ariza now, and if he does sign there, Hedo Turkoglu could wind up in Portland. Another player that may benefit from this is Shawn Marion. His stock may rise, and teams like the Rockets and Kings may look to lure him away from Toronto. [click to continue…]
