Breaking news has been reported that Hedo Turkoglu took a 360 degree turn, signing with the Toronto Raptors instead of the Portland Trail Blazers.
Originally, it was believed that Turk would be signing a hefty contract with the Blazers, especially after a verbal commitment was given to the organization.
The very next day Hedo called Portland and told them that he was having “second thoughts”. (It was reported that Turk liked Portland, but his wife fell in love with Toronto.)
The Raptors contract consists of a five-year $53 million deal in which Turkoglu will join heads with All-Star Chris Bosh, Spaniard Jose Calderon, and Italian Andrea Bargnani. [click to continue…]

Our readers in Canada are probably tired of these headlines by now, and I wish I was making them up. Unfortunately for Raptors fans, the Chris Bosh rumors just don’t seem to go away. Yesterday Mitch Lawrence of the NY Daily News reported The Jazz may in fact inquire with Toronto about a potential swap of Olympian forwards Carlos Boozer and Bosh. There was also word that came out that the Bulls, who are looking to add a scoring threat in the post, has Bosh high on the list. Toronto would not want the first rumored package of Tyrus Thomas and Kirk Hinrich, but prefer having Loul Deng in the deal along with Hinrich and a draft pick. As the draft looms closer, many playoff teams assess whether to use their picks they have this year on a potential contributor, or package them along with a veteran for someone who can step in right now.
