sixers vs. magic

We saw another team go home last night as expected(Hornets), and tonight, we have the chance to see three more have their season end. The Bulls and Sixers face elimination at home, while the Blazers have to hold off Houston on the road. None have easy tasks, but two will survive to face game 7.

If there is any doubt what one series has been must see TV so far, its been the Celtics and Bulls. Each game has had drama from start to finish, with three overtime games, and last second shots by some of the games best scorers. Game 5 saw the flagrant foul that wasn’t, as Rajon Rondo clotheslined Brad Miller, forcing him to take two pressure packed foul shots while bleeding and woozy. Tonight, the United Center should be louder than it has ever been in the post-Jordan era. Boston has been here before, and I expect the Celtics to try to jump on Chicago, much like they did in Game 3. Don’t expect anything different from the previous five games. There will be ties, lead changes, momentum turns, a few technical fouls, some physical play, etc. When it is all said and done, the Bulls dont go out on the home court though. Will there be a Tyrus Thomas sighting in the fourth quarter? [click to continue…]

The Miami Heat once again cost me a loss in my prediction last night, it seems I cant get that series right. Four big games on the schedule tonight, including two potential elimination games.

Through the first four games of the Celtics/Bulls series, we have seen ups and downs and drama that would make the TNT network proud. Now we have the pivotal game 5 of the series, and Chicago comes in with their most lethal scorer not 100 percent. Boston has been in this situation before, winning three critical game 5’s in last years postseason. For the Bulls, as good as they played the first two games in Boston won’t be enough this go around. Expect Boston to get up early, and hold off a late Bulls run late.
