The Indiana Pacers had a run in the late 90’s where they were the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NBA. Unfortunately for Reggie Miller, they don’t give out rings for being 2nd or 3rd. Check out this classic footage from Game 5 of the 1999 Eastern Conference Finals, with the closing moments of a great game in Market Square Arena.

Note: Check out the Chris Dudley sighting…

In honor of the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States, President Barrack Obama, I have assembled a comprehensive list of the 44 Greatest NBA Players of my lifetime. Over my lifetime, some of the greatest players the NBA has ever seen have graced the court. You will see some names missing from this list that played before my time, such as Oscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, Rick Barry or Bill Russell.

With that being said, check out the list, which ranks the players by what they have accomplished in their career, whether still playing or retired, and not on potential.

EDIT: Two players were omitted in error from the original posting. Charles Barkley and Mark Price.

44. Gilbert Arenas
43. Carmelo Anthony
42. Chris Paul
41. Alonzo Mourning
40. Drazen Petrovic
39. Dirk Nowitzki
38. Paul Pierce
37. Ray Allen
36. Larry Johnson
35. Tracy McGrady
