In case you don’t know him yet, Lance Stephenson will one day very soon be on the cover of LayupDrill.com as much as Ricky Rubio, Blake Griffin and James Harden. If he is that good, why has no one signed him, you ask? [click to continue…]

Its looks like Kentucky coach John Calipari got out of Memphis right on time. The Memphis Commercial Appeal broke the news earlier this evening that the NCAA had reported major violations on the Memphis basketball program during the 2007-08 season. The allegations include “knowing and fraudulent” a.k.a cheating on a SAT exam by a player, and the fact the school spent over $2,000 in travel accomodations for an associate of a player to travel with the team.
According to the the report(view it here), the NCAA made Memphis aware of the probe in early January. Calipari left for the Kentucky job on March 31st. Perfect timing. While the player in questioned was not named due to NCAA rules, based on the information given about this player, the only person that fits the description is Chicago Bulls guard and NBA Rookie of the Year, Derrick Rose.
Rose played one year with the Tigers, and in only 1 NCAA Tournament. He is the only player that would fit that description the letter entails.
