Blazers end Suns streak, again

The last time Phoenix played Portland with a long winning streak, Brandon Roy dropped 52 on the Suns, and the Blazers won. So what happened last night, when Portland played a Phoenix team that had won six in a row? More of the same. The Blazers had a balanced attack last night in the Rose Garden, getting 14 points from Steve Blake, 29 points and 12 boards from Lemarcus Aldridge, 26 from Brandon Roy and 23 from Rudy Fernandez in a 129-109 win over Phoenix, in a game that wasn’t as close as the final score. Phoenix is still 3.5 games behind Dallas for the 8th seed in the West, while Portland remains tied with the Hornets for the 5th seed. Check the highlights below:

As the NBA Trading Deadline passed, another new deadline has emerged. Teams must have their playoff rosters set by March 1st, so any free agents must be picked up this week. The season-long public feud between Stephon Marbury and the New York Knicks could(hopefully) come to an end this week, as the NY Post reports Stephon Marbury and Knicks President Donnie Walsh will meet seperately this week from the scheduled arbitration hearing, in an effort to work out a buyout agreement before their legal hearing.
