The first major coaching replacement occurred when the Wizards signed Flip Saunders to a multi-year deal. Now word out of Sacramento is that the Kings have begun to narrow down their coaching search. The Kings are looking at former Wizards coach Eddie Jordan, Paul Westphal, Mike Fratello, and Del Harris. There are also darkhorses in the race for that job, such as Lon Kruger and Dwayne Casey, however they are clearly not the favorites. [click to continue…]

While you were sleeping, you may have missed the news, but both the OKC Thunder and Sacramento Kings have come to terms to buyout the contracts of Joe Smtih and Drew Gooden. For Smith, the buyout will allow him to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the rest of the season. Smith could step right in and be a major help for a Cavs team decimated with injuries. As for Drew Gooden, The Mavericks, Nuggets, and Spurs are all expected to make a major last minute push to acquire his services for the remainder of the year.

Breaking News: Sacramento Kings and Chicago Bulls make a deal

According to NBA.com, the Sacramento Kings have sent swing-man John Salmons and center Brad Miller to the Chicago Bulls for forwards Drew Gooden and Andres Nocioni.
Update:
The Bulls have sent Andres Nocioni, Drew Gooden, Michael Ruffin and Cedric Simmons to Chicago for Brad Miller and John Salmons. Sacramento then traded Michael Ruffin to the Portland Trailblazers [...]
