Lakers and Celtics, Game 7. Magical words to the ears of NBA and TV execs for sure. The Lakers rebounded from their back to back losses in Boston with a statement victory Tuesday night, leading throughout the night, and thumping Boston 89-67 behind a total team effort. The Celtics now have to focus on the health of Kendrick Perkins heading into the deciding game 7, as Perkins went out early Tuesday night with a knee injury and did not return.

Sessions to the Knicks?

The Knicks are said to be very close to signing former Bucks guard Ramon Sessions to an offer sheet, according to the NY Post. The Bucks are not expected to match an offer for the guard who had a breakout 2008-09 season. New York is also interested in bringing in veteran guard Jason Williams to the mix. Coach Mike D’Antoni is reportedly high on Williams, and believes he could be an asset to the team’s playing style in 2009-10.

In other news, The Boston Globe reports former NBA lottery pick Shelden Williams has signed a 1 year deal to join the Boston Celtics. Williams, who broke into the league in 2006 with the Hawks, will be used as a key backup of both Kevin Garnett and Kendrick Perkins in the post. [click to continue…]
