The New Orleans Hornets have watched other teams in the West get better, while the best young guard in the game stood patiently waiting for his franchise to do something. Chris Paul may soon see his wish of getting better come true. ESPN is reporting the Hornets and Bobcats are in serious talks regarding trading starting centers Tyson Chandler and Emeka Okafor. The trade is reportedly no surprise to those close to the Bobcats, whom have been looking to deal Okafor since the season ended. Chandler, as many remember, was traded to the OKC Thunder at the trade deadline this past season, only to have the deal rescinded when he failed a physical. More players and/or teams could be involved in the final version of this blockbuster.

Fresh off one of the greatest NBA Draft classes in league history(2003), the 2004 NBA draft had a mixed bag of promising underclassmen, high school phenoms, and international flavor. Many teams were looking to hit a home run with their lottery pick, and some did succeed(Charlotte, Orlando), while other swung and missed bad(Clippers, Sonics, Cavs). Looking back, there was an enormous amount of talent taken outside of the lottery, and the draft even saw some quality pro talent well into the second round.
