The NBA trading season was expected to be a busy one, and this one caught many off guard. Earlier today the Bobcats announced that former Gonzaga standout Adam Morrison was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers along with Shannon Brown for Vladamir Radmanovic. Morrison was the first draft pick that Michael Jordan selected upon his arrival in Charlotte, and never seemed to fit in the Bobcats style of play. Radmanovic had lost his starting power forward spot earlier this year, but give Charlotte more versatility to slot him at the 3 or 4 spot. Radmanovic is owed $13.4 million dollars over the next two seasons as well.
This may not signal as the last move for the Lakers, who had previously stated they would hold tight during the trade deadline. Many still feel the Lakers may be shopping Lamar Odom around as well. Stay tuned…
