Orlando won Game 3, as I predicted, behind some outstanding shooting, and their best play in the paint thus far in the series. Kobe Bryant was hot from the field early on, yet in crunch time, an exhausted Kobe Bryant missed key free throws, and turned the ball over in big spots, which assisted Orlando to the win. The Magic received balanced scoring from Rashard Lewis(21), Dwight Howard(21), and the best game of the series from Rafer Alston(20). Throw in 18 a piece from Mickael Pietrus and Hedo Turkoglu, and the Lakers had no answers aside from Bryant.

Laker fans should not panic yet, but as Phil Jackson admitted yesterday, if Pau Gasol gets called for goaltending in Game 2, this series is 2-1 Magic, with homecourt. The recipe for a Lakers defeat is simple: Kobe goes 11-25 from the floor, while logging 40 minutes and shooting 50 percent from the free throw line. Orlando will have confidence heading into Thursday’s game, and if somehow they can tie the series at 2, things will get very interesting in the Lakers camp.

Charles Barkley slips up on the air

May 31, 2009

I didn’t catch this during the broadcast last night, probably because I had a few drinks myself. The difference between me and Charles Barkley impaired is the fact that Barkley was on the air working the Magic vs. Cavs game, and he slipped up twice on the air. Check the video after the jump…
