Last night, in front of a record audience, former Cavs forward LeBron James announced to the world he was taking his talents to South Beach to join forces with friends Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade on the Heat, in their quest to win the NBA title. While people will all have their personal opinion on how James handled this entire free agency process, the reaction from Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert may go down as one of the most personal in sports history.
NBA.com posted up Gilbert’s open letter to the fans of the Cavs, in which Gilbert ripped LeBron for being narcissistic, self-promotional, and guaranteeing fans in Cleveland that the Cavs will win an NBA title before LeBron does.
