All signs are pointing to Amare Stoudemire becoming a New York Knick. Amare and the Knicks are close to a deal that would be in the range of five years at $100 million dollar deal. Stoudemire would be reuniting with his former coach, Mike D’Antoni, and would fit right in to the run-n-fun style of play that made him a household name just a few years ago. With Joe Johnson likely to resign with Atlanta, and LeBron and Wade likely to join forces in Miami or Chicago, the Knicks will need to look to bring in some help in the backcourt.
In other news, former Blazers guard Steve Blake has signed a four year deal worth a reported $16 million dollars to join the champion Lakers. Blake will likely take the roster spot that Jordan Farmar held in L.A, as Farmar is expected to sign with the Indiana Pacers.
