The NBA Playoffs start in one week, and we are still not certain who will be playing. Just a few days ago, it was a foregone conclusion that Boston would be meeting the Los Angeles in a rematch of the 2008 NBA Finals. Well, things have changed. Orlando has won two consecutive games, and head back up to Boston looking to tie up the series at 3 and force the improbable Game 7. The Celtics enter Game 6 battered and bruised, and while still the favorites to close out the series, the potential of a team coming back from down 3-0 doesn’t seem as impossible as it did after Orlando lost Game 3.
Meanwhile, the Lakers are home for Game 5 tonight, and their franchise is a perfect 18-0 when playing Game 5 at home and the series is tied at 2. Everything points to the Lakers regrouping and winning to get a 3-2 series lead. However, what happens if Phil Jackson can’t solve the zone? The pressure is squarely on both the Lakers and Celtics to win the next game. If not, there will be some very interesting games going on this weekend.
