The Lakers may look back after the postseason ends for them(title or not), and say the series with the Thunder was the toughest they have played in the past three years. While Los Angeles was able to close out the Thunder in six games thanks to a Pau Gasol last second tip in, they are in trouble.
At times during this series, the Lakers simply looked old. A step slower than the younger, hungrier Thunder. The three teams left in the West playoff chase(Suns, Spurs, Jazz) are all capable of beating the Lakers in a seven game series. Whether or not it will happen is another story. The two teams that could have given the Lakers the toughest matchups on the way to the NBA Finals are now out(Dallas and Denver). The Lakers SHOULD dispose of Utah in 6 games. On paper, the Lakers should be able to survive and advance to at least the NBA FInal, however stranger things have happened.
