Gilbert Arenas On His Way out of D.C?

by The Boss on May 23, 2010

When the Wizards won the NBA Draft Lottery last week, the John Wall era unofficially began, and the Agent Zero era seemingly came to a close. Reports have surfaced over the weekend that Wizards brass do not want to have Wall anywhere near Arenas, as the team is looking for a fresh identity and new franchise player to build around. The Wizards have received calls from teams regarding the availability of Arenas, but have not yet had an offer enticing enough to move on.

There are some insiders that feel the only way Washington will be able to rid themselves of the former All-Star is by buying his contract out, much in the fashion the Knicks did with Stephon Marbury. Call it the addition by subtraction method.
