NBA East First Round Predictions

by The Boss on April 17, 2010

The second season is finally here. Check out the breakdown and predictions for all eight playoff series, and the reasons why who we think will win.

Cavs vs. Bulls
The Pick: Cavs in 4
Why: Chicago matches up well with the Cavs, however Cleveland is on a mission. Shaq will be back, and ready to dominate Joakim Noah in the post. The Bulls did a good job to rally late in the year and get in the postseason, but they won’t be able to overtake Lebron in his quest for his first ring.

Celtics vs. Heat
The Pick: Celtics in 6
Why: Boston SHOULD have no trouble taking out Miami, as the Heat don’t have the depth or experience to win those close games in April. Miami does have Dwyane Wade however, and he is good for at least 1-2 superhuman performances before bowing out.

Magic vs. Bobcats
The Pick: Magic in 5
Why: Charlotte, like Chicago, should be happy they made the postseason, yet they are simply overmatched in this series. There is no answer for the wingmen Orlando will throw at the Bobcats, and no one that can contain Dwight Howard.

Hawks vs. Bucks
The Pick: Hawks in 5
Why: If the Bucks had Andrew Bogut, I would pick them in an upset, but the inside game of Atlanta will be too much. Marvin Williams could have the best postseason of his career to date, and the Hawks may be ready to take that next step to the East Finals.
