Four pretty even teams, and no clear cut favorite. When you visit LayupDrill.com on Tuesday morning, don’t be surprised if you see a story with Duke, West Virginia, Butler, or Michigan State on the cover. This weekend’s games aren’t what many expected, but I anticipate no one will be let down by the performances. Who will be left standing to play on Monday night?
Duke vs. West Virginia
Two contrasting styles clash Saturday night in a game that should be close to the final seconds. Duke’s key to success Saturday night will rely on their perimeter shooting and ability to keep the Mountaineers off the boards. West Virginia, who will likely be playing without floor general Truck Bryant, enters this game with perhaps the best player left in DeSean Butler. We haven’t had a true signature “moment” yet aside form Michigan State’s last second three in the early rounds, and for some reason I gotta gut feeling the night of “The Butler” will deliver.
West Virginia 71

Butler vs. Michigan State
I have changed my mind on this game at least four times this week already. When the season began, Butler vs. Michigan State would be probably envisioned as a second round matchup at best, not a national semifinal. Coach Tom Izzo has one of the mentally tough teams we have seen in a long time, and they have been battled tested. However, playing only seven miles from their homecourt, the entire city of Indianopolis will be packed in the gym rooting on the Bulldogs. If there has ever been homecourt advantage for a Final Four, Butler has it. Will it be distracting or an advantage? Only time will tell. My guess is “The Night of The Butler” will prevail.
