Ron Artest – The New Dennis Rodman

by The Boss on March 7, 2010

Waking up this morning, I cruised through emails and blog posts, and this literally made me stop. After first laughing out loud for a good five minutes, I realized what and, more importantly, WHY Ron Artest is bleaching his hair.

The Lakers, who are in a mini slump(losers of 2 straight heading into this afternoon’s game vs. The Magic), want to be the Bulls. Jordan is obviously played by Kobe, with Lamar Odom taking the role of Scottie Pippen, and the loose cannon Ron Artest being the offensively improved version of Dennis Rodman. Phil is Phil, and the rest of the roleplayers are interchangeable(just like those Bulls title teams). Not knocking Pau Gasol or Andrew Bynum, but the personalities of Scottie, Mike and Dennis rival those of Kobe, Lamar and Ron Ron on and off the court. Gasol and Bynum are good basketball players, but in Hollywood, they are somewhat stale. The Lakers “Big 3″ have celebrity status with them, and for their sakes, this bleaching of Artest’s hair will help him in this stretch run to catch the Cavs for homecourt overall in the post season.
