The NBA Trade Deadline could be historic

by The Boss on February 16, 2010

There are a number of trades being rumored around the net right now. Here is the latest as of this morning…

1. Marcus Camby is headed to Portland.
Camby will be sent to the Blazers in a deal that will net the Clippers swingman Travis Outlaw and guard Steve Blake. Not a bad deal for either team, as Camby provides veteran leadership on a playoff contender, while Outlaw and Blake give the Clippers depth at key positions.

2. Amare Stoudemire would rather be traded to Miami than Cleveland isn’t true.
It’s all but certain that Suns big man Amare Stoudemire will be wearing someone else’s jersey next week. Will he be standing next to Lebron James or Dwyane Wade? The Cavs and Heat seem to be in a 2 team race to land the All-Star, with Phoenix reportedly getting a better deal from Cleveland.

3. The Knicks will end up getting Tracy McGrady.
New York is trying to finalize the details of a deal that will have them secure T-Mac from Houston in a package that would include either Al Harrington.

4. Cleveland is not putting all their marbles in the Amare sweepstakes.
Should the Cavs not be able to land Stoudemire, they are looking at securing other talent at the deadline. Talks about trading for the Warriors swingman Corey Maggette as well as Pacers forward Troy Murphy.
