Late last week, the 2010 NBA All Stars were announced by the league, and there were a few names on the list that had some raising eyebrows. Of course, the determination of the starters is based on fans voting, however we all know that popularity contests doesn’t always work for the most deserving players.
The East Starters:
Allen Iverson
Dwyane Wade
Dwight Howard
Lebron James
Kevin Garnett
Lebron, Wade, and Howard are right on. The two vets, KG and A.I, should be coming off the bench. Substitute those two for Chris Bosh and Joe Johnson, and things would look about right.
The West Starters:
Steve Nash
Kobe Bryant
Amare Stoudemire
Tim Duncan
Carmelo Anthony
This one is almost dead on, but they need to alter the lineup out West, and run with three forwards and two guards. Kevin Durant should be starting in this game, and getting the national shine he deserves, and I would insert him in front of Timmy. Steve Nash would dream of running a fast break with Kobe, Melo and KD on the wings.
Who do you feel should be starting in the game?
