Though the Rockets sent star guard Tracy McGrady home this past weekend, there is more to the story than what both sides are saying. While T-Mac’s representatives will not say he wanted more playing time, McGrady was not happy with being benched. The Rockets have been very political in their answers to media questions regarding the future of McGrady, and secretly would love nothing more than to trade him for viable young talent and/or draft picks. With nearly six weeks to go before the NBA All-Star Weekend, that talk could begin to heat up.

In other news, the most disappointing team this season thus far is the Chicago Bulls. After showing so much promise in last years postseason against the Celtics, Chicago has seemed to take many steps back. Their coach is now a lame duck, and Chicago has supposedly already contacted former coach Doug Collins about a return. There are also talks that Collins would be part of the master plan that Bulls management have in their attempt to lure Heat star Dwyane Wade to Chicago next summer. In order for the Bulls to be players in free agency for Wade, they will have to move John Salmons and/or Kirk Hinrich this season.

In the funniest story of the weekend, Yahoo! Sports is reporting the Wizards would be open to trading star guard Gilbert Arenas. There’s only one problem though, no one is gonna take on one of the most bloated contracts in the league. Agent Zero may welcome a change in scenery as well, and some feel he would love to head back out West.
