First off, Merry Christmas to all the basketball fans around the world. Christmas Day is the unofficial start of the NBA season for many casual viewers, and the league has five big games on tap. The action tips off at 12pm with the Miami Heat traveling to New York to play the improved Knicks on ESPN. The C’s and Magic are up next at 2:30pm on ABC, then the Kobe and Lebron show takes center stage at 5. Diehard NBA Fans will get another double header tonight, as the Suns and Clippers do battle at 8, and Nuggets and Blazers close out the day at 10:30, both on ESPN. Enjoy!
In other news, one of the strangest off the court stories this season, Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas reportedly stored unloaded firearms in his locker at the Verizon Center. The league is currently investigating the situation, but what is known according to an Associated Press report is Arenas put the guns in his locker after the birth of his daughter earlier this month. Arenas has been enjoying a succesful return back to full time action on the court this year, averaging over 22 points a game running the show in D.C.

I’ll be at the Blazer vs Nuggets game. Brandon Roy is listed as “questionable” with a sore shoulder. Jarryd Bayless stepped up big time the other night, we’ll see if he can do it 2 games in a row.
