The World Famous LayupDrill Rumor Mill

Word spread pretty quick about the Lakers pulling their offers off the table for swingman Lamar Odom, however now more teams seem to be moving in to make their play for him. Yahoo! Sports reports this morning that the Heat assume the Jazz will match the offer given to Paul Millsap, and thus are more motivated than ever to trade Carlos Boozer. They also would like to bring Lamar Odom to South Beach as well. Miami is preparing a 5 year offer for Odom, which would be for nearly $7 million dollars annually. While this money would be less than what was offered more money to stay with the Lakers, it was for less years.
Former ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith has stated he believe Odom has played “his last game as a Laker”. If this is the case, the champs will certainly have a void that they can only hope Ron Artest and Andrew Bynum can step up and fill.
