The Grizzlies are out of the David Lee sweepstakes officially now. The L.A Times reports that Memphis and the Clippers have agreed on a trade that sends Randolph to Memphis for recently acquired Quentin Richardson. The move allows the Clippers to move Blake Griffin into the power forward spot, while adding another scorer on the perimeter in Richardson. The Grizzlies, meanwhile, add a veteran double double forward who will help free up open jumpers for Rudy Gay and O.J Mayo.

Randolph has 2 years and $33 Million dollars left on his current deal, so for Memphis , he is a short term gamble. Should things work out, perhaps they look to re-up with him. If not, they can look for cap relief next year and trade his expiring contract.
