Though the Houston Rockets had their season end yesterday at the hands of the Lakers, they have nothing to feel bad about. The Rockets improbable run without their two All-Stars this postseason was truly amazing, and management in Houston have to be optimistic about what lies ahead. With that said, there are some tough decisions regarding the roster. The Houston Chronicle reports that both Von Wafer and Ron Artest, who are free agents, would like to return. Both were likely in Houston’s plans anyway, but it is good to see that they are making the Rockets their top priority.

As for the rest of the Rockets roster, that remains to be seen. There have already been rumors floating about the potential of Houston moving Tracy McGrady during the offseason, and some have said the Rockets need to go after another veteran who can provide defense in the backcourt and help out Aaron Brooks, such as Chicago’s Kirk Heinrich. Stay tuned…

In other news, The Oklahoman is reporting today that there is a possibility that the OKC Thunder could trade the top overall pick, should they land it in the Draft lottery, and go after point guard Ricky Rubio over Blake Griffin. The number one pick in the draft has only been traded two times prior, however stranger things have happened, and according to some, The Thunder are torn between selling tickets with the hometown product in Griffin, or the long term potential of Rubio.
