Lakers Heading to NBA Finals Again

Lakers

We are now down to three teams. The Lakers took care of business on the road, and dominated the Denver Nuggets 119-92, in a game where Kobe Bryant played like the best player in the World. Bryant ended up with 35 Points, 10 Assists, and 6 rebounds, and put the rest of the basketball world on notice that they are getting their swagger back at the right time.

The Lakers received balanced scoring tonight, with five players in double figures, including 20 from Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol each, and a solid all-around game from Luke Walton. Though they got nothing from Andrew Bynum(again), L.A didn’t need it. Denver had a great season, but in the end, came up short against a better team. Chauncey Billups had some moments in the final couple of games where he was not the dominant point guard we have come to know, and the Nuggets bench did not give them the lift they needed.

The Lakers now will have almost a week off until they play Game 1 of the NBA Finals, which will be start in Staples Center, as they host the Orlando Magic, or will be on the road in Cleveland. Neither potential opponent will be a cake walk, and one could see the Lakers losing to either team.

Enjoy Game 6 of the Cavs/Magic Saturday. We will be back to cover that game.
