Is Ramon Sessions Worth 6 Million A Year?

Ramon Sessions Bucks
The Bucks management have come out already and stated they will be conservative with their spending this off season, which indirectly was telling Ramon Sessions “We aren’t overpaying you”. Sessions made a name for himself around the league last season, posting up some very impressive numbers while keeping Milwaukee in playoff contention. The former 2nd round pick out of Nevada may have increased his value on the market, but how much would be too much for him?

There are a number of playoff teams, or potential playoff teams, that are in need of a dynamic young floor general with somewhat of a proven track record. The question becomes at what cost? Sessions is a restricted free agent, meaning other teams can set the market value for him, and it would be up to the Bucks to match that offer. Would you pay $5-6 million a year for a player who put up 12 points and nearly 6 assists a game in part time duty half the year. Sessions PER stats would make him a 16 point, 7 assists guy, along the lines of a Rajon Rondo or Mo Williams. As an alternative, would you rather take a gamble on one of the dozen point guards in the NBA Draft this summer, and hope they develop into a viable contributor sooner than later? This is when GM’s make their money.
