The Washington Wizards are wasting no time making moves for the 2009-10 season, and their first big one is reportedly a done deal. Yahoo! Sports broke the story late last night that the Wizards have agreed to terms with former Pistons coach Flip Saunders on a four year, $18 million dollar contract. Neither side would confirm the deal, though it is expected there will be a formal press conference next week to announce the move. Saunders is expected to be bringing veteran guard Sam Cassell in as an assistant coach as well.

In other news, the NY Post reports there is no deal in place regarding the future of Nets coach Lawrence Frank. Nets management, including GM Rod Thorn, had previously given Frank a vote of confidence during the regular season, when rumors sparked that Frank could be on his way out.

While it was first announced that Syracuse guard Jonny Flynn was looking to return to school next year, it seems things may have changed. Syracuse.com is reporting today that the sophomore guard is expected to sign with an agent, and go ahead with his desire of playing in the NBA. Flynn told the public he was going to stay in school just days after Syracuse was eliminated in the NCAA Tournament, and many media outlets had stated Syracuse would be the preseason number 1 team in America if everyone returned. Flynn is expected to be a lottery pick, and we have added his name to our Mock Draft going to the Knicks at 9.
