For any of you who missed it, Rockets backup center Dikembe Mutombo suffered a terrible knee injury during the first quarter of the Rockets-Blazers game 2, in which all around him are saying will end his 18 year career. Mutombo, who was screaming in pain as soon as he went down, had to be stretchered out of the Rose Garden. Doctors state that Mutombo would need surgery, and an emotional Mutombo told press he knew this would be the end of his run in the NBA.

In other injury news, the Celtics have officially listed Rajon Rondo as probable to play in game 3 against the Chicago Bulls. Rondo, who suffered a sprained right ankle, still managed to have a triple double in the Celtics win. Boston suffered a bad break yesterday when they found out Leon Powe would be out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

Another player looking to see action on the floor in their teams next game is Utah Jazz center Mehmet Okur. Okur told The Deseret News that he is continuing to get treatment every day, and would like to make his debut in this series when Utah returns home.
