One of the potential free agents this summer is Jazz forward Carlos Boozer, while one of the best potential free agents next summer would be Raptors big man Chris Bosh. If you are a team that has the ability to make a play for one of these guys, which would you rather have? There are pros and cons for both.
Starting with Bosh, you know that you are getting a power forward entering the prime of his career who could develop into an even bigger star than he already is. His 22 points and 10 rebounds a game are taken for granted by the mainstream media, as other players with bigger egos often grab the headlines. Bosh has a quiet killer demeanor on the court, much like future Hall of Famer Tim Duncan.
There is some hope in Toronto that the Raptors will be able to build around Bosh, and convince him to sign a long term extension. If he makes the decision based on money alone, the Raptors are in good shape. If Bosh is looking to go with a winner, then his options begin to change. Ideally, there are countless teams that would be interested in building a title contender around him, though while under contract they can’t speak on it publicly. Could you imagine a Mavericks front court that had Bosh and Dirk there? How about Bosh in Detroit, as part of the new look Pistons? Then, there are the subtle rumors that CB4 could decide to play alongside fellow Olympians Lebron James or Dwyane Wade in Cleveland or Miami.
In regards to Carlos Boozer, the story is a little different. Though Boozer has only been in the league one more year than Bosh, he has been subject to injuries throughout. He has never played an entire 82 game regular season, and only appeared in 37 games this year. The Jazz will likely make a decision to keep the younger, cheaper option in Paul Millsap, allowing Boozer to opt out of his contract. Many of the same teams intrigued with Bosh would also be interested in Boozer too, however his asking price may be a little high.

being a toronto-ian and rampid raps fan, i would take the bosh over the booze.
Bosh dont play them interior D that well, if you catch my drift. but then again boozer is know for his defencive presece… yaa rigth! moving on, bosh i think
OVER-RATED BEING UNDER-RATED. Like hes on-off being the go to guy. Sure he can play some big shots in crunch taime but hes not really been a true leader. Hes not consistent on a night to night. Eventho hes pullin down 10 trays a night.
BOSH CAN BE BURNT BY SCABREENI, OBERTO…JOSH SMITH.. HES NOT A TRUE BIG. REALLY he doesnt really get good rebs. He gets those lazy-im-in-the-right-spot rebounds.
I dont mean Josh smith is bad. hes an excellent defender. BUt BOSH HAS NO POST GAME , DOODE!
Bosh and Boozer both will command pretty high price tags now. As for Josh Smith, you cant really compare him to either of those guys.
Boozer has a player option this year, so he doesnt have to opt out if he doesnt want to. Im am a jazz fan though and i hope he does leave so utah can keep milsap and bring in some other studs.
