Trying to rebound from their home loss to the Spurs on Sunday, the Celtics come into New Orleans to create their own storm. Previously beating the Hornets in the beginning of the season, the Celtics came onto the court determined to win. Starting the first quarter off strong, scoring 23 points (just 2 more than the Hornets), and dominating the fourth, holding the Hornets to just 13 points, over the Celtics’ 25. Chris Paul, who had recently suffered a groin strain, finished the game with 13 points, five assits; but not leading this Hornets team. Doing so, was David West, dishing out 15 points and one assist. Topping all scores, and showing no mercy in New Orleans, was none other than Paul Pierce, finishing with 30 points, and Kevin Garnett trailing behind with 14. Ray Allen, who turned out to be the lowest, and coldest scorer tonight, only giving up 1 point in this game but it didn’t stop the Celtics from scooping up another road win. The bench made up for it’s slightly lacking starters, with Eddie House giving up 12 points, with Leon Powe right behind him with 11, equalling up to the amount of assists for the night that Rajon Rondo coughed up, and adding 6 points to it. After being tied up numerous times in the game, the Celtics pushed pass the Hornets and rode to an 11 point win, and hoping to continue this trend when they face the Dallas Mavericks tonight.
