Will you believe in Magic after tonight?

I told you on Monday that this would be a very tough week for the Los Angeles Lakers. Having the task of playing the Rockets and Spurs on the road would challenge the best of teams. Now the Lake Show, fresh off a heartbreaking loss to San Antonio, are back home, where they host the best team no one is paying attention to, the Orlando Magic. Dwight Howard brings Orlando into the Staples Center for a measuring stick game against Kobe. In front of a national television audience, The Orlando Magic can show everyone if they belong in the conversation of being the best team in the NBA. Both teams enter this game tonight winners of eight of their last ten. The Magic, who enter at 31-8, are only 1/2 game behind the Lakers, and a win here would silence even the harshest of critics(yours truly included.)

The Lakers cannot look ahead to their showcase game vs. Cleveland on Monday night, or else I will be writing a blog Saturday morning saying I had it all wrong about the Magic.

I believe tonight!

The Magic surprised me. I did not think they could defeat both the Spurs and Lakers on the road, but Dwight Howard is playing like a MVP, and Jameer Nelson is outplaying every point guard he goes against.
