The whistle for a second technical that signaled the ejection of Vince Carter Vince Carter came almost as quickly as the detonation of Carter’s temper yesterday.
Only the participants know what actually was said, but reporters sitting courtside said they heard Carter yell to official Derrick Stafford, “Don’t you call me boy” with 6:48 to go in the first half of the Nets New Jersey Nets ‘ 83-75 loss to Detroit here.
