The NBA is being showcased as usual on Martin Luther King Day. I already have had the pleasure of watching the Nuggets and Rockets battle in a great game that had a playoff feel to it. The Nuggets were playing without Carmelo, and the Rockets without both Tracy Mcgrady and Ron Artest. Even still, J.R. Smith and the Nuggets battled back late in the fourth quarter, only to fall short by two. Meanwhile, the Spurs received an amazing effort from Raymond Felton and the Bobcats today, and the Mavericks edged Philly by two on a game winning shot by Dirk.

Also playing today/tonight:

Danny Granger and the Pacers are playing CP3…The Wolves and Clippers battle…..Detroit tips off a TNT Triple header playing against OJ Mayo and the Grizzlies….Shaq and the Suns go against the world champs….and of course the main event:
lebron-lakers

The 31-7 Cavaliers travel to L.A. to play the 31-8 Lakers. Cleveland has won five in a row over Kobe’s Lakers, with the last L.A victory coming over three years ago in a 99-98 win.
