Sports Illustrated has stated that Shawn Marion really wants to get out of Miami, and soon. He clearly does not fit in Miami’s system and has failed to show his All-Star talent on this young and rebuilding team.
You can pretty much guarantee Marion being dealt very shortly amongst all other trade rumors.
Possible big men for the Miami Heat
Carlos Boozer (PF, UTA), Brad Miller (C, SAC), Marcus Camby (C, LAC), Jermaine O’Neal (PF/C, TOR), Samuel Dalembert (C, PHI)
Fantasy Standpoint
Depending on what team Shawn Marion gets traded to, his fantasy value could either rise or take a hit. It would make most sense for him to get traded to a team that would actually let him maximize his unique talent. (Who knows why some teams accept such ridiculous trades).
If Marion could join a team where he could go back to his normal ways, his fantasy value could absolutely sky-rocket to well over averaging a double-double with lots of three-pointers made, steals, and blocks.
