The Charlotte Bobcats and Dallas Mavericks were both heavily rumored to be active in the trading market this month, and they have agreed on a deal. The Bobcats will receive center Desagna Diop from Dallas in exchange for guard Matt Caroll and center Ryan Hollins.

Diop, who was a lottery pick in the 2001 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, will fill the void of a center that Charlotte has coveted the entire season. Carroll will add depth to the Mavericks bench, and should see quality minutes during the second half of the season. This move by Dallas may spell the end for Jerry Stackhouse in Dallas as well. Stay Tuned…
