The World Famous LayupDrill Rumor Mill 01/07/09

32-year-old veteran point-guard Andre Miller could be in another uniform before the trade deadline ends this season.

The 76ers have had a disappointing season thus far, but remain only two games out of the 8th seed. Miller is a very gifted point-guard that could turn the Sixers horrific start around and make them a contending team in the East.

The question that the Sixers organization has to ask themselves is, can Andre Miller really help this team win games or is he worth trading for the future of the 76ers?

Let’s take a look at both options.

Keeping Andre Miller could be a positive for the 76ers. Andre Miller and Elton Brand (who returns by the end of January from a shoulder injury) could give the Sixers a nice run at making the playoffs.

Giving up Andre Miller would ruin the Sixers chances at making the playoffs this season. Many teams out their are in need of a solid point-guard and would give up future draft picks in return for the veteran out of Utah. The Sixers could re-build their team with the draft pick, once again.

Whichever option the 76ers organization choose, they better make sure it is the right one.

What do you think the Sixers should do?
