
Carmelo Anthony has been cleared to play after being sidelined with a fracture in his right hand on January 5th. Anthony, who missed 10 games for the Nuggets, was able to see his teammates stay respectable during his injury, going 6-4 in those games.
As a result of last night’s injury against the Memphis Grizzlies, OKC Thunder guard Desmond Mason will be out for the remainder of the season.
The Utah Jazz will be without forward Andrei Kirilenko for the next four weeks, as he recovers from surgery on his injured right foot.
Two big games on TNT tonight, starting with the Orlando Magic hosting Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Orlando, who are currently 34-10, get another opportunity to make a statement against one the better teams in the league tonight against the 35-8 Cavaliers. Cleveland will be without injured center Zydrunas Iigauskas tonight, however with a victory, they will be able to ensure head coach Mike Brown leads the Eastern Conference All-Stars.
At 10:30PM EST, the Spurs take on their rival the Phoenix Suns. The Spurs enter tonight’s game at 30-14 while Phoenix is 25-18. Phoenix has had many trade rumors circulating their team as the days and weeks nearing the trade deadline approach. Meanwhile, San Antonio looks to secure their hold on the number 2 seed heading into the All-Star break against their hated rival.
