The World Famous Layup Drill RumorMill

As the NBA watches Nets point guard Devin Harris realize the potential that many saw in him when he was drafted, fans in Dallas are scratching their heads. Last year they gambled to win now, and not later, in trading Harris to the Nets for Jason Kidd. Looking back, the Mavs have not made it any further in the postseason, and the Nets may get the last laugh. Dallas is among six teams that have shown strong interest in bringing in Stephon Marbury once he is bought out from the Knicks. Marbury and Kidd could once again be connected together if he were to land in Big D, though many feel there’s a better chance you will see Steph in Miami, Golden State, Orlando, or San Antonio.
Speaking of Golden State, Monta Ellis is still out, yet when he does return where exactly will he play? The Warriors gave Ellis $66 million dollars last year, and he was supposed to be the man, since Baron Davis left. Now they have brought in Jamal Crawford, things may have changed.
One thing that has not changed in Boston in their winning ways. The Celtics have won 9 straight games, and they are on pace to enter the Christmas Day Clash vs. The Lakers with the leagues 2nd best record. Perhaps the biggest reason for their 17-2 start this year is not Pierce, Allen, or KG. The C’s bench, even without landing Antonio McDyess, has filled the void left by James Posey very nicely, and seem to be even better this year. Look for Boston to still attempt to solidify their frontcourt by the All Star break by trying to pick up a veteran big man
