Marbury gets suspended and fined
The World Famous LayupDrill Rumor Mill

It’s the Black Friday edition of the Rumor Mill, and we have to apologize for the late posting of this Rumor Mill. Due to some technical difficulties in the morning, there was a delay in posting. Alot has gone down the day after Thanksgiving though, starting with the on-going mess in New York. The Knicks have fined Stephon Marbury for allegedly refusing to play in Wednesday’s game against the Pistons. The one game suspension probably wouldn’t bother Steph, but the 400,000 fine the Knicks placed on him is insult to injury. The atmosphere between the Knicks management and Marbury has grown so bad that its personal, and though it would be in the best interest of the team to cut him loose, they probably won’t do it just to spite Marbury.
In other news regarding the Knicks, the Lebron James to New York talks won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. According to the NY Daily News, one of Lebron’s close friends, William Wesley, stated the Knicks are the front runners to land King James when he becomes a free agent. How much weight you want to put into his statement is up to you…
Another team that has entered the Chris Kaman trade watch seems to be the Chicago Bulls. Tje Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Bulls, who are looking for help at the center spot, as are many teams in the East, are interested to see how the Clippers experiment front line of Zach Randolph, Marcus Camby, and Kaman works out. If it looks like Kaman is the odd man out, he could find a home in the Windy City.
If you haven’t heard yet, Allen Iverson skipped practice on Thanksgiving with the Pistons, citing personal reasons. The Pistons coaching staff held a morning practice primarily to run through some new plays involving their newest player, so the management staff was obviously not happy he did not show. Iverson was apologetic to his team and the fans Friday, and won’t start vs. The Bucks tonight.
