Stephen Jackson has some job security for at least the next few years. Monday it was announced that the Warriors and Jackson had agreed on a three year contract extension, that will keep the swingman in Oakland until the next election.
Jackon has been averaging 22 points and 6 assists a game for Golden State, and took over the role as leader with the departure of Baron Davis. He will be key for the continued development of the young Warriors, and the Warriors made a good move locking him up. Jackson made 6.6 million dollars last season in Golden State, a big raise from the 316,969 rookie contract he had 9 years ago.
