Knicks guard Stephon Marbury met with Knicks President Donnie Walsh Thursday morning to talk about a buyout. Marbury, who was representing him because he has no agent, is looking to be released, so he will be free to sign with anyone. As we reported earlier, Starbury’s first choice is San Antonio. Don’t expect the two sides to come to a resolution before Thanksgiving.

Speaking of the Spurs, not feeling confident they will be able to convince Antonio McDyess to sign with them, their eyes for front court help has turned to another disgruntled Knick in Eddy Curry. The New York Daily News is reporting that Eddy Curry and his agent talked earlier this week about his potential new employers. The Spurs as well as the Miami Heat have expressed interest. The Heat are dangling Shawn Marion in front of New York, who would love to make the deal work if they can make the money work. Knicks management prefer Marion over the original deal Charlotte offered, which was swingman Gerlad Wallace.

Nuggets guard Chauncey Billups resigned with Detoit last season, else he would have been a free agent. Billups told the media yesterday that he regrets doing that now looking back. Billups, and his contract, are in Denver, and he better get used to it.
Remember Billups signed a four year, 46 million dollar deal with Detroit, which includes the team option for the fifth year. Denver better get used to Mr. Big Shot, because they wont be able to move that contract.
