Post Game Analysis
Lakers 106
Dallas 99
The Mavericks played one of their better games of the season, getting 21 points from Jason Terry and 17 from Gerald Green. The defensive effort was inspiring, and the atmosphere was similar to a playoff game. Unfortunately, it was not enough to give the Lakers their first loss of the year. Kobe went for 27, Pau had 22 and 11 rebounds, and the Lakers survived to go to 6-0.
While watching the game, I took a good look at the Lakers schedule from now until their Christmas night showdown with the Celtics. That will be the 29th game of the season for LA, and I can honestly say that Kobe should be no worst than 25-4 heading into the Finals Rematch. I am giving the Lakers losses vs. the Hornets(who they play twice between now and then), the Suns(same as Hornets), and to two eastern conference teams(Pistons, Magic). I figure they had to trip up somewhere along the way. But nonetheless, if they do start out 25-4, they would be well on their way to a 64 season, which is exactly how many games I predicted they would win.
