Fantasy Tips
Words by Brandon Ribak

The 7’0″ Bargnani hasn’t been exactly a first pick first round success for the Toronto Raptors. Head Coach Sam Mitchell knows exactly what he’s doing and placing Bargnani in the starting lineup shows his basketball intelligence. Bargnani has the potential to form into an outstanding player, and will finally get another chance to show what he can do. His time is now, and if he can prove to be a consistent player in coach Mitchell’s offense and defense, his fantasy value will rise along with the Raptors W’s column.
With Bargnani starting at the small-forward position, the Raptors have extreme height which can be a huge advantage for their squad. Power Forward Chris Bosh is listed at 6’10″ and Center Jermaine O’Neal is listed at 6’11″. If these three players work together to pose a threat on both offense and defense, they will have a great chance at making it to the Eastern Conference Finals this season. (Especially with Jose Calderon as their starting point-guard).
Predictions: The Raptors have a strong team in the Eastern Conference. They have a great coach, great fans, and the talent to form into a Championship team. It is still very early in the season, but if they can work together as a team and continue to put up Wins, they will get their chance at winning it all this season.
