Free Antoine Walker

Antoine Walker
If you watch a Grizzlies game this year, you might get a chance to catch the cameraman span the bench of Memphis from time to time. When you do that, you might get a chance to then see an Antoine Walker sighting.

The former sidekick to Paul Pierce has bounced around the league since being shipped out of Boston three and a half years ago. Walker has not played a game this year, and some in Memphis are saying with the way the manchild OJ Mayo is playing, Walker will have permanent front row seats on the bench. So one might ask, why not trade the guy, and allow him to continue his career? Maybe even get some value for him or something? Who knows. Grizzlies management seem to be taking the same stand the Knicks management are on Steph. That must be the new thing to do if you are an underachieving franchise. Anyway, enjoy this highlight clip of ‘Toine, when he was relevent, in a “big” game vs the Knicks back in 2001.

He deserves to play. It stinks he is not being given the chance. You know what you get when Walker plays 30 plus minutes.

I refuse to believe he is irrelivent (sp) What he is is stuck on a team that is run by an ex Celtic. It’s almost like Ainge is paying them to keep him on the bench.

I agree with the Free Toine. I don’t know. Maybe in 20 years he will be appreciated for what he brought to Boston and Miami when he was allowed to play but right now the stuck up snobs in Boston only care about McHale giving them a title by sending them free Garnett and the Heat don’t appreciate anyone or anything. Not even Shaq.

I think he has some game left. He wont ever see the court in Memphis, as they clearly are in the youth movement, but he could possibly help a team trying to make a playoff run.
