Duncan hits game winner in Sacramento

Tonight the Sacramento Kings (4-6) played host to the San Antonio Spurs (3-5). The Spurs were playing without Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli, who were replaced in the lineup by George Hill and Roger Mason. The Kings were without Kevin Martin and Francisco Garcia. Jason Thompson started in place of Martin.
John Salmons came out hot with 10 first quarter points as the Kings led 23-15 at the end of one.
The Spurs came back in the second quarter behind the defense of Tim Duncan and led at the half 43-42.
In the third quarter the Kings would make a push back into the game behind their bench. Guards Quincy Douby and Bobby Brown provided a spark and the Kings led 72-68 after three.
The Kings held strong and the Spurs battled them every step of the way. Tied at 88 Tim Duncan made a driving score. The Kings missed a shot at the buzzer to tie and the Spurs won 90-88.
The Spurs were led by 21 points from Michael Finley and 20 from Duncan, who added 10 rebounds and 4 assists.
John Salmons led the Kings with 31 points.
The Kings will next play at Memphis on Tuesday.
